My Krups ea893c10 (which have the same parts) it's clogging all the time with coffee because it's not disposing the used coffee coin anymore. Do you know can I fix this?

The "clean" and "calc" lights come on, I press the rinse button as indicated in the service manual and water only begins to come out of the foaming nozzle. the most horrible construction ever, full of plastic clips that bend and breaks, 1 hour to take apart, 1 hour to put it back ... ....whoever designed this needs to be jailed. that o-ring at the base should be easy to change but no, they put that plastic cover fused with the case , even if you take those 2 screws out , still not enough , the plastic round cover is fused with the case.... this is made to be put in the bin, not repaired. this company needs to learn to design things properly.

My water pump apparently needs to be changed as per Dolce Gusto's technical team. Every time I switch it for hot water for coffee, the machine turns off. Is it worth changing it or buying a new one since they're almost the same price?

I can see what’s happened. I couldn’t get access to Nespresso capsules so had been buying the lavazza ones and I think their “eco friendly” metals they use in them are the reason my capsules aren’t piercing correctly. They get crushed in the machine and barely have any coffee come out then when I open it all the hot water pours out in the back section.

Machine power is not turning on how to fix it?

Thx for your very helpful video. But the quality of krups is not only cheap it´s also very difficult to repair. It starts with the head of the screws on the button. I replace them by screws with a torx head. The plate in the brewing unit is made of plastic. No metal ( very cheap ). When I try to move it out of the brewing unit I do not get the plate in one part, I got three parts. I have to order a new one. Horrible engineering.

Update: i solved my issue. You don't need to unscrew your whole machine. You need to modify the button only. Like some of you here pointed out. I only took out the front panel plastic shield to access the power button. It's actually quite logical. When you plug the machine it's not supposed to turn on by itself, you have to turn it on. You can verify this by unplugging the SW (marked) white connector from the board leaving only the LED connector. Then when you plug the machine back you can use a small metal tip to touch the exposed SW connector prongs and check machine functionality this way. It's basically bypassing the button pressing on the top by just closing the circuit manually. The machine works for me. It was the wife that did it 😅. She ran tap water after washing the machine and water got into the button. I cleaned and dried the button circuit board and put it back in. All works fine. In your video the machine worked but entered in error state because the button was kept pressed by liquid presence in the button area thus sending a signal to the board to display error.

I have the exact problem with mine. Stopped working just like that and I assumed it was because my wife washed the top of the machine with soaked rag and it burned the circuits or something. But now that I see your video or looks like a mainboard problem. I would look for spare parts.

Grrr.. I hate when things break unexpectedly. Mine got clogged after following the descaling tutorial, it was working well before that so I regret even starting that process. Now I have to disassemble lol 😅Thanks for the advise!

They don't make it easy, do they? I was waiting for the blood damage :) Excellent video showing what a tricky job it is, even for an experienced repairer. My problem is that the coffee capsules are not being pierced so I get neither water nor coffee! I've nothing to lose, so I'll strip it down as described by Adrian, clean it all and see if it works after reassembly - if I succeed in reassembling it, of course.

Omg SUBBED you have noo idea how grateful I am.. thank you sooo much!!! I just fixed my 18 year-old Nespresso. This lady has been with me since I was single, so it was hard thinking it was her end. Must admit I haven't descaled in two years, plus I've been using non Nespresso capsules. Firstly, I got a toothbrush and cleaned the plate, didn't work. It was too complicated to disassemble a 1st gen Nespresso, so I got a toothbrush, then a toothpick and carefully cleaned the spout. I was scared that I was poking the insides wrongly, but it worked!!! The toothpick unclogged whatever was blocking the flow. I was so ready to use my Karcher steam, but I didn't need to. Cleaning the spout did the trick! I'll probably clean it more with a thin needle and perhaps a steam cleaner tomorrow. Yay, now we have coffee tomorrow morning. Bless you!!!

Thanks for this guide. Instead of buying a new machine, I decided to try and repair it. Replaced the pump, and now it works again. But damn those oval head screws are a nightmare. Made the tool, and it helped, but will go to hardware store and see if I can get some replacements that are easier to work with. BTW, recommend to disassemble machine first, so you can identify the exact pump type. The website where I bought the pump, suggested a different pump type for this machine. Not sure if it was compatible. Anyhow I found the exact same pump that was originally installed, and purchased that instead.

How much fluid do I need ? And you have to fill until something comes out the filling hole?

Check the voltage regulator at the heatsink and the bridge rectifier. These are known to go bad. Disconnect your machine from mains if not in use, it reduces the stress on these components and don't pretend your vid to be a repair !
